Down on the Farm
Rachel was sprung from the JR Maternity hospital on Monday evening. She looks and feels a million times better since the baby is out instead of in. The baby too looks beautiful. She was three weeks early and weighed over 7 lbs so I can't imagine what she would be like had she gone to term. My camera was lost for the past few days but I found it yesterday so I'll be picture posting again. It seems like a nice day today so I will probably take ? for her first ride in the pram. It's my favourite time with babies. I like to get them all cosy in the pram and go walking along the river. Rachel is so lucky to live right beside the Thames and a stone's throw from Port Meadow. Unfortunately, Adam has reached the stage where if I say, "Let's go for a walk," he says in a very polite but definite voice, "No thank you." He and I and Charlie went to the St. Giles Fair yesterday. I think they had a good time. I found it pretty overwhelming. Charlie wanted to play games and we did win a couple of hideous stuffed creatures but none of the big prizes. Adam wanted to go on the rides. "Action" is his middle name. They all started back to school today.
